Terra

A student-run sustainability initiative closing the loop on food waste

An Enactus UBC project

Our Core Mission

Terra is an innovative sustainability initiative promoting circular communities. This year, the team is developing Bloom Pods: compostable slow-release fertilizer pods made from dining hall food waste, created through a partnership with UBC Student Residences and Food Cycle Science. The project transforms pre-consumer food waste and diverts emissions while giving at-home gardeners and plant owners easy access to one-of-a-kind, nutrient-rich plant care.
